FOUR QUEENS HOTEL AND CASINO
The Four Queens Hotel and Casino was opened in 1968, and has ever since
been part of the light, sound and glitter of the Fremont Street
experience. In fact it stands out from the rest of the crowd, and keeps
on attracting a loyal cluster of patrons. Opening directly on to Fremont
street, the Four Queens offers a full view of the extravaganza - light
and sound shows from dusk to midnight, live music, classic cars on
display, and various holiday festivals during the day.
Inspite of being not too large in size, the Four Queens casino sees
constant activity. The 30,000 square foot casino contains video poker,
slots, craps, single-deck blackjack, pai gow and roulette, apart from
many tables with low minimums. Hugo's Cellar - the gourmet restaurant
ranked by locals as number one - belongs in the Four Queens. Guests can
cook their own chicken, beef, swordfish and shrimp on hot granite slabs.
The menu also features roast duck flamed with anise, steaks, raspberry
chicken and veal oscar. Overlooking the casino floor is Magnolia's
Veranda, which includes a sushi bar and offers Hawaiian specialties,
steaks, seafood, ribs, and pasta.
The hotel has two 19-storeyed towers that house 690 guestrooms
containing tiled bathrooms, desks, internet access and pay movies.
Guests can avail of room service from 5 am to midnight.
The hotel's location right next to the fremont street inexpensive food
and fun and its modest size are the factors that appeal mainly to senior
citizens. Unlike some hotels on the strip, the Four Queens does not have
a dress code. Its budget-friendly accommodations make the hotel and
casino a great value for money in downtown Las Vegas.
