HARD ROCK HOTEL AND CASINO

The Hard Rock hotel and casino has been said to be the coolest place in Las Vegas. Located less than a mile from the strip, the hotel houses contemporary nightclubs, concert venues and popular restaurants that attract large crowds. The undercurrent of the theme is rock and roll, as you can see from the 600 plus pieces of rock-n-roll memorabilia adorning the entire premises.

The 30,000 square foot casino is circular in shape. The hotel also has a tropically landscaped pool area, designed with a sand beach, spread over three acres. There is a swimming pool in the beach club that is unique in its idea of having piped music underwater and three swim-up blackjack tables. There is a wooden gazebo containing craps and blackjack tables. Cabanas with thatched roofs come complete with ceiling fans, phones and TVs.

The Hard Rock's concert venue, the Joynt, has a 1100 seat capacity, and it hosts famous recording acts like Carlos Santana, Ozzy Osbourne, and Sammy Hagar. Baby's, the subterranean nightclub, is unique for its green vinyl booths, glowing violet tables, purple masonry, its retro industrial ceiling and its paper lanterns. The Rockspa pampers guests with its fitness center, spas, steam rooms, and vichy showers.

The rooms also feature the same rock-n-roll motif, and contain velour furnishings, sea-green carpeting and deep purple drapes, and a big attraction are the functional French doors instead of windows, unusual by Vegas standards.

Room service is round the clock. Apart from that, there are five restaurants including Nobu's sushi bar offering multi-course Omakase dinners and lobster and shrimp in spicy lemon sauce, and Simon which offers new American cuisine.

Transport to the strip is free of charge. If you are a rock-n-roll enthusiast coming for a visit to Vegas, the Hard Rock is just the right place for you to stay at.
